Awards 

MDS recognizes regional recipients of prestigious awards during the AOPMC.


The Society honors impactful contributions to the field of Movement Disorders, as well as the outstanding professionals advancing science and care across the region and the world. 

Lectureship Awards

The Philip Thompson Lectureship Award and Yoshikuni Mizuno Lectureship Award honor pioneering experts and leaders in the field. The esteemed recipients are invited to present on topics of interest during the AOPMC.

Yoshikuni Mizuno Lectureship Award

The Yoshikuni Mizuno Award Lecture was created to recognize an outstanding scholar and inspiring neuroscientist from the AOS region in the field of Movement Disorders.

Philip Thompson Lectureship Award

Junior Awards

Travel Grant Awardees

Travel Grant Awards provide support for first authors of high-scoring abstracts to travel to the AOPMC to present their work. Authors may enter for consideration of this award during the abstract submission process.
